She glides the slipstreams smiling

She always knows where I am

Sometimes she swoops down

And flutters her wings to cool the breeze

And shuns the darkness away

As it recedes and I am unburdened

She puts her hand on my head

And asks me how I am

Waiting for you to hold me again

No one to say it’ll be ok

Join me for a swim in the ocean, she says

Floating in the moonscape halo’ed in glistening mist

And just knowing she is by my side

Makes me feel her slipstream again
